The frame is made of Hexetate, an acrylic material 100% recyclable, phthalates free, solvents free, plasticizers free, that does not need to be varnished which allows a 10-15% energy saving in the production process.
The raw material is produced in sheets. At the origin it is cut in rough fronts and temples giving a double advantage: the waste is immediately recycled, the weight for transport to the manufacturer is reduced of 70%.
The packaging of rough fronts and temple is in recyclable cardboard compared to plastic wrapping for the sheets. The manufacturer’s energy consumption is 54% from renewable sources compared to 45% Italian average.
The demo lens is made with recycled, modified acrylic, it is 100% recyclable and 100% biodegradable.
The sun lens is 41% biobased and 59% fossil, 100% recyclable. The cardboard box is made of pulp from farmed trees under a controlled use of pesticides. It is 100% recyclable and 100% biodegradable.
The printing is made with water ink without chemicals.
